On September 18th 2009 Sherman "The Tank" Pendergarst is set to take on UFC Light Heavyweight fighter Houston Alexander (8-4) at Adrenaline MMA IV at the Mid-American Center in Council Bluffs Iowa. This event will air live on HDNET.

Houston Alexander is still under contract with the UFC and has a 2-3 record with the UFC. Alexander is know for his punching power and holds KO wins in the UFC over Alessio Sakara & Keith Jardine.

The intriguing aspect to this fight is the fact that Sherman will be fighting at 215 lbs. This will be the lightest weight Sherman has ever fought at. Most of his mma career Sherman has been near the 265 lb Heavyweight limit.
