Sherman "The Tank" Pendergarst is a professional MMA fighter. Sherman spent the early part of his MMA career living and training in Baltimore Maryland. Once Sherman realize MMA in Baltimore was not going to improve his career as a fighter, he moved to Iowa and started training at Miletich Fighting Systems.

Sherman was the first and only heavyweight mma fighter from Baltimore to fight in the UFC, fight on PPV, fight for a mainstream MMA promotion (4 years later Sherman still holds this honor). Sherman has fought in 29 pro mma fights, 12 of them were Championship Title Fights. He has also fought 10 current/ former UFC veterans and he has fought veterans of Bellator FC, Elite XC and the WEC.
